Publisher review:Pulsed Radar System - A radar system is modeled using Simulink and the DSP Blockset. Simulink and the DSP Blockset are used to model pulsed radar system. The model is partitioned into three subsystems, a transmitter, a target and a receiver. The transmitter and receiver are collocated.
The transmitter sends out a frame of data representing the pulse and silence; this is then delayed, Doppler shifted and degraded (due traveling through free space) by the target and the air; the receive correlates and collects the pulses to form a matrix and the FFT of which is displayed. The default settings are for an S-band radar with peak transmit power of 10 KW, and a target starting at 1 Km and flying away very fast. Requirements: · MATLAB Release: R13 · Signal Processing Blockset · Simulink
